News from the Road:)

English Bay, Vancouver, BC 

It's time for another sporadic posting from your truly coming at you from Valemount, BC? Yes. I am stranded here after my car broke down today and just before all the mechanics closed their doors for the night! Will get it looked at first thing and hopefully can carry on to Edmonton tomorrow. I have to set up for Make It at the Enjoy Centre which starts Friday morning through till Sunday. If you're near, please come see me!

In other news, I am excited to share that I will be going to NY in early May to shoot out at Rockaway Beach in Queens again! I haven't been back since 2009/2010 and much has changed, especially since Hurricane Sandy. I am excited to re-connect with the people and places I photographed then and reignite my passion. It's what my heart longs for and I love and miss NY so much:)

And the good news I meant to tell you in last posting was that I won First Place in the 2015 FotoWeekDC Photographers Choice Singles contest. I received $400.00 US (woot woot!) and a Lomography Camera.

The image was exhibited at FotoWeekDC at their grand gala this past November and will be shown far and wide in the coming year.

Oh and since we're talking about contests..Sigurd and I won a Star Wars Selfie Contest! He will never forgive me for this one! 

In other news, I have been experimenting with printing images on clothing! The first image was taken in Bali of an Egyptian Mau and the second in where else but Hawaii! Let me know what you think. See more in my Etsy store here. Use code OCEAN15 for 15% off! 

Well, I must hit the hay so I can be up bright and early to see the mechanic! Please keep fingies and toes crossed that I will be able to get back on the road and make it in time for Make It!
